How to Use this Resource

This blog is meant for the collective use of students, teachers and staff specifically in Los Angeles Unified School District. The grants listed in this blog have been found from all over the Internet and are collected here to better inform school professionals of where they can find money to implement classroom projects, student-led projects, and innovative reforms.

There are several different ways for you to find grants that are most applicable for your purposes. There is the search bar in the top right corner of this blog; it will search only this blog. The labels on the right-hand side below this search bar are connected to each blog entry. If you find a blog that is missing a useful label, feel free to leave a comment on that blog and let me know. Finally, there is a calendar of upcoming grant deadlines. Rolling deadlines are listed every day, but blogs with specific deadlines are listed, as well.

Once you find a grant that you think you would like to apply for:

  • Make sure you read the entire post.
  • Visit the website listed in the post and check if the grant is being offered this year, the grant deadline, and look for application materials.
  • Use the Grant Writing Resources tab to find information on writing your grant.

This blog is only a starting point. It may contain outdated or inaccurate information. If you find such inconsistencies once you begin looking around the donor's website, please let me know by clicking the "Contact Me" tab. Please reference the inaccurate posting and link to the accurate information. Your help in keeping this blog up-to-date is absolutely essential as it's too big a job to do alone.

I am hoping to attract a community of like-minded individuals who are as committed to the thorough education of the children enrolled in LAUSD. If you're applying for a specific grant, comment on the post and let everyone know what kind of project you are working on. You might inspire new ideas! If you receive a funded grant from any of these sources, comment on the post and let us know what you think worked best about your grant proposal so that you might help others in the future.

Of course, any suggestions you have for this site or other resources you would like linked from this page can be made through the "Contact Me" form.

Let's start building partnerships!
